The S8W is equipped with eight auto-speed-sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps ports. It offers plug-and-play operation without any software to configure, and is fully compliant with all network protocols.

The S8W comes with a wall-mounting bracket that makes it easy to install - simply slide the unit into the bracket or use it freestanding. The switch will automatically negotiate network speed and duplex mode with its connected devices. It has a compact, durable metal housing that can be placed on a flat surface, in a structured media panel or mounted on a wall. Because the S8W has no fan, it makes a noise-free addition to an AV cabinet.

The S8W delivers a dedicated connection to every attached client, avoiding the possibility of bandwidth congestion. It supports auto MDI / MDI-X functionality, as well as 12k jumbo frames, resulting in better network performance because the switch can send more data simultaneously. For larger installations, each port can be used to connect to another switch or hub, with no crossover RJ-45 cable required.

The Pakedge S8W 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch comes with a DC power adapter, wall-mount bracket and kit, and a user's manual. It is available now for pre-order.
